executive staff member (of a conference) : Is it how it is said in English? Hi everyone In every conference there are people managing stuff like scheduling lectures and guiding participants. What are does people called? Is "executive staff member" a valid and common phrase in English? I could really use your help on this.

Hi Farzam That's a really good question ... I've been to many conferences and know exactly the kind of people you are talking about but I don't know what their job title is. Something like "conference facilitator" or "delegate assistant" would probably work better than "executive staff member". To facilitate means to help, to make things easier, to assist. A delegate is the name given to someone attending a conference who is not speaking or teaching at it. Hope that helps. Gordon

Executives are high-level managers. That would not be appropriate here. I would just use 'conference staff', 'conference administrator' or "conference facilitator" as Gordon suggested.
