Bosnian Vocabulary - closer to Serbian or Croatian Dobar dan dobri ljudi! My Dad is from Bosnia (near Banja Luka) and I always wondered if "Bosnian" was more similar to Croatian or Serbian. Does Bosnian have more Serbian words or Croatian words in common? I would hazard a guess that Bosnian is closer to Serbian having been part of the Ottoman Empire but my own obserbvations would suggest it shares more words in common with Croatian. e.g. Mrkva is one example that comes to mind. Maybe its more regional... My Baba used to always use kruh for bread which is more Croatian I thought. Thank you Dejan from Oz
