성에 차다 (or 성이 차다) means you're satisfied, similar to 만족하다. 성에 차다 however is used more to describe the basic, instinctual demand such as hunger, anger. impulsive desire, etc. It is also predominantly used in the negative context, in the form of 성에 차지 않다 and its variations. For being satisfied after rational assessment, we always use 만족하다. E.g. 아이는 우유만으로는 성이 차지 않았는지 계속 울어 댔다 = The baby continued to cry as if it wasn't satisfied with the milk given. E.g. 사장은 사업 계획서를 훑어보고는 만족해 했다 = The president had a satisfied look after scanning the business plan.
