well, i'm chinese-american and grew up with the "not good enough" "you can do better" attitudes from my parents. it really made me feel stupid; however, it has made me a stronger person and i know now as an "old lady" that they were just looking out for me, and that's the way they encourage people. i think your dad just has a problem facing the challenges that you bring. you should definitely tell him how this makes you feel; maybe he doesn't know it bothers you because you say nothing.

It made me feel like I was a nobody , like i was a mistake to be born , all in all i just wanted to giveup and die . but i faught through it and now i am a stronger person!!

When he does, I usually " send him through a tube" and ignore him, and he gets mad and says that I'm disrespectful and so on, then I get yelled at by my mom also and then my dad yells at her and then my mom is resentful with me, I get mad, my little brother comes in to my room and I kick him out so I don't take out my anger with him, and then he goes with my older brother and he yells at the little one, and my dad yells at him............
