(written) notice When you see or write the sentence alike following, "You may terminate this XXXX with 30 days prior notice." You interpret this "notice" includes e-mail ? And if it writes, "You may terminate this XXXX with 30 days prior written notice." This "written notice" includes e-mail ? I know it should be determined by legal contexts, but I would like to know how people/consumer generally think to see such "notice"/"written notice". Thank you,

I would say via mail. It should be email but when it's legal.......I would look in the 'small print'!!

A proper contract will mention the acceptable means for contact. Which one will be accepted will depend on the company, hence why it should be mentioned in the contract. I suggest you read the rest of it. If you're not sure, you could email, and ask if they would accept an email as acceptable notice. That's going to be faster than waiting for a snail-mail to get there.
