I was on twitter and someone quoted a video of someone i put up with
"off topic ma parla italiano e quindi sticazzi"
Isn't sticazzi a curse word? I'm not sure what it said so can someone tell me, please?

"Sticazzi" is s course word, but its real meaning depends from the context. It can be used to insult somebody, but it can be paradoxically used also to say: "congratulations, your really good". I know that it's strange, but its meaning can really changed depending on the context. If you tell me more informations about the video, maybe I can understand better.

"Sticazzi" is a slang from Rome (and all Lazio): it means "I don't give a f*ck". So, yes, it's a curse word. In other regions of Italy is misused with the meaning of "incredible!" (both in a positive and a negative ways) but this is wrong: in Rome, to say "incredible!" they use "me cojoni!" ("my balls!").
Some examples:
- "Ho comprato questa maglietta" (I bought this t-shirt)
- "E sticazzi?" (I don't care, I didn't asked you about!)
- "Ho comprato la macchina nuova e l'ho pagata solo 10 mila Euro" (I bought the new car and I spent just 10 thousand Euros)
- "Mecojoni!" ("Incredible" meaning "only 10 thousand? Incredible!").

It's only a street language very common for someones and very unpleasant to hear for me.
They use to show them disappoint for something or to show them astonishment.
You could understand if one or the other meaning from the contest.
Literally is two words:
- "sti" abbreviations of "questi" = these
- "cazzi" = dicks
How's used to talk with those kinds of expressions really doesn't think at the literally meaning and doesn't want to offende anyone, he/she's only simply RUDE :-(
