(I think this is incorrect. "fairly blue with it" = not happy / had enough. I'd rewrite it like this: "She was extremely tired of suffering") 5.They all thought she was dead; but my father, kept ladling gin down her throat 'til she came to so sudden that she bit the bowl off the spoon. As everyone believed she was gone, father kept ladling gin through her mouth. (yes, but i'd write it like this: "Everyone thought she had died.
