라고 하면서 - 라며
I am wondering what is 라며. As I understood it is the contraction of 라고 하면서. But it means that it should be placed in the middle of a sentence. However I have seen a sentence with 라며 in the end. Can you please explain why that? Give me some examples with 라며 (라고 하면서) in the end and in the middle of sentences please!

Yes, -라며 and similar phrases normally come in the middle of a sentence as part of a subordinate clause.
But you can invert the sentence by stating the main part first. It is commonly done for such a two part sentence.
Here's an example.
1. 친구는 오늘이 자기 생일이라고 하면서 [생일이라면서) 나를 초대했다. (normal order)
= My friend invited me saying that today was his birthday.
(하면서 is roughly the same as 하며, or "while doing/saying something". And 이라면서 as 이라며).
2. 친구는 나를 초대했다. 오늘이 자기 생일이라면서. (inverted order)
= My friend invited me. He said it was his birthday today.
#1 is the normal, "standard" sentence, but it might sound too textbook-like and uninteresting in some contexts.
#2 is more informal. Poems and song lyrics often use such arrangements to take advantage of the shorter verse-like phrases. This kind of inversion can happen with most two-part sentences, as in 나 오늘 비가 와서 안 나걌어 versus 나 오늘 안 나갔어. 비가 와서.
