Is it correct to say "yet to be written"?
Hi friends,
I have 02 questions on the following sentence. This is regarding a report to be submitted.
" The observation and recommendation sections are yet to be written as the required info is not in place. "
1) Is it correct to say "yet to be written"?
2) Is it natural to say "the observation and recommendation sections"?
Thanks in advance!

1) Yes. You can also write: "Remains to be written".
2) Yes, although it depends on the context.

Hey Niwantha,
1) Yes, you are correct! It is indeed possible and natural to use the expression ''yet to be written'', though this sort of expression is usually used in formal English (which is the exact case here since the topic at issue is within a report). Also, you should know that sometimes people use this structure to show that they do not expect something to happen, for example:
E.g.: ''Your duties in this house are yet to be decided.''
E.g.: ''I have yet to meet a man I can trust.''
E.g.: ''Whether it will be a success has yet to be seen.''
E.g.: ''His victories are yet to be weighed against his failures.''
2) Yes, it is OK to say like that in the context provided.
Hope that helps!
