What is a 'chip-butty running'?
Belows are from THE TAKING OF ANNIE THORNE by C J Tudor.
"I stare down at PC Cheryl Taylor. Her tone is brusque, her demeanor cool. I get the impression that she would rather not be here. Perhaps I'm keep her from a major heist, or the evening chip-butty run."
I wonder what a 'chip-butty run' means here.

A 'chip-butty' is a sandwich made with a filling of hot chips. A 'run' here probably means a short trip with a specific purpose. Therefore, a 'chip-butty run' is a short trip to go and purchase a chip-butty.

A chip-nutty is a kind of sandwich (with chips, or what we call “French fries” in the US) that is popular in the UK. A chip-nutty run means going out of the house/office to get a chip-butty.

Run here means going to buy something. For example. I'm just making a beer run. It means I'm going to buy beer.
