Does "had cash drain" mean "was low in cash"?
The company had cash drain/was low in cash in 2017 due to the IPO cost.
Can anyone help me edit this short text:
I spent the weekend updating my financial analysis and made some changes. In case you read the old one in this chatroom, I will send a copy here too.

I would suggest using the term "cash flow" which is the movement of money into and out of a company's accounts. Terms used to describe good cash flow include "good" "strong" "healthy" "positive". Terms used to describe cash flow that is not particularly great are a bit more circumspect to account for the potential for personal embarrassment. Strange but true. Terms include "a cash flow pinch" "a cash flow challenge". We try to avoid the term "cash flow problem". So I would say the above sentence would be best changed to "The company had a cash flow challenge due to the cost of the IPO."
