Morrie honked loudly into the tissue.
To honk, usually is usually related to car horns, but can we used it for the sound made from our nose?
Is it common?

Yes. The original meaning of "honk" is actually "the sound a goose makes". Car horns and noses are both said to "honk" by comparison to geese. I(t's not very common to talk about noses honking, but it's definitely not rare.

The phrase "honk your nose" usually means squeezing your nose. To blow your nose is to clear your nose if you are sick for example.
For car horns, you can either honk or blow your horn
