Is “지금 뭐하고 있니?” grammatically correct for asking “What are you doing right now?”

It's correct but sounds little bit not casual.
Between friends you can just say 지금 뭐해?

Both sentences are natural among friends.
“지금 뭐하고 있니?” What are you doing right now?”
= “지금 뭐하고 있어?”
