what does "pt." mean in "7 statements were asked in 5 pt. scale of agreement to 1000 customers"?

Point. Specifically they would have been asked what they felt about 7 statements, and given 5 choices to answer from. Something like:
1) Strongly agree
2) Agree
3) Not sure
4) Agree
5) Strongly Agree
