Jura
A fool and his money are soon partying? Can you explain the pun in this sentence? A pun is a form of word play that deliberately exploits ambiguity between similar-sounding words for humorous or rhetorical effect.

Only the native English Speaker can play this game. I have noticed that the word "partying" was not a typo. Similary, I always say " I am going to lost wages" and I was critized for speaking Chinese-English, correction has been made to " I am going to Las Vegas". Some people don't get the joke. Good job, Jura and Anna.

The original phrase is "A fool and his money are soon parted". This means that fools usually lose their money quickly. Using the word "partying" implies that fools lose their money by partying, or that fools spend a lot of money on partying. Anna www.englishharvest.blogspot.com
