You didn’t give the context. But 2 isn’t right. A natural thing to say would be Everyone in the class has been tested for Covid-19. Only Jim tested positive. There are two meanings of “test” here “To test for something”. Let’s test for the flu. “To test (the result)” He was tested for the virus and the result was positive. Shortened to “He tested positive for the virus.” He tested negative. He tested well and gained admission into the Academy. He has tested positive for tuberculosis in the past.

"He has tested positive for Covid-19" would be the natural and correct way to form that sentence.

I agree #1 is correct. When using 'has been' following it is usually a a verb or a specific place. have/has + been + the -ing form of the verb. EX: He has been testing people for COVID-19 Example: He has been ruining He has been to China He has been doing well He has not been overseas. He has been deployed for the last few months He has not been tested for COVID-19 Hope this helps.
