Dont understand this sentence:they are appealling not to facts about their god?
So telling us that God is eternal and therefore escapes the problem by ducking under the where-did-God-come-from question, they’re appealing not to facts about their god.

Nor do I. This sentence is poorly written and unclear. It is also incomplete.

The sentence is not structured or worded very well. I think it is saying that "they" are not giving any facts to support the position that is God eternal.
