Crooked hands We call someone that has made something badly "криворукий", which literally means one with crooked hands. It can be said about people, bad results of which work we see or use: costructors, repairmen, photographers, developers, hairdressers, tailors and so on. What do you call bad specialists in English? Do you have any slang words for them?

In British English, we'd often call these people 'bodgers': 'bodger' to rhyme with 'Roger'. This is a widely used term for slapdash builders and repairmen who do jobs quickly and carelessly. A 'bodged' job is, for example, a repair which looks superficially acceptable but which will not last. [NB This is different from a 'botched' job which so badly done as to be damaging: we often talk about 'botching' for plastic surgery that goes disastrously wrong]

For an expression roughly equivalent to yours, I'd probably go with "two left hands". A bad dancer has two left feet, and a bad workman has two left hands. In America, there are several common one-word terms with a similar meaning, but the one that I'd be most likely to use is "klutz". Finally, there are several longer, more involved idioms with a similar meaning. My favorite would probably be "he couldn't pour water out of a boot if instructions were written on the heel."

Hello! If someone does a "bad job" in any or all of the above professions we call it "bad workmanship".
