从来 一般用在负面的描述上。 “她从来不听我说话。”means I feel negative about the situation that she never listen to me. But we cannot say “她从来给我们买礼物。” it’s a happy thing to receive presents, 从来 shouldn’t be used here. We should say “她总是给我们买礼物。”
