바로잡다, 검사하다, 정정하다, 바로잡다
I found four different definitions of “to correct” on Naver (바로잡다, 검사하다, 정정하다, 바로잡다), however I’m not sure if I can use them interchangeably or if they are used for different situations.
I am specifically curious about which one to use if I want to say “Correct me if I am wrong” (틀렸다면...)

수정하다 = to update, to edit, to revise, to modify
바로잡다 = to correct things that went wrong
정정하다 = to correct wrong statements
검사하다 = to inspect, to test, to verify
I would say 수정하다, 바로잡다, 정정하다 are similar, but 검사하다 is totally different.

It is better to translate 'correct' into '수정하다/바로잡다/정정하다'
Three vocabularies above are similar and alternative.
On the other hand, '검사하다' is different from them.
'검사하다' means 'inspect' and 'examine'. So, if you want to use 'correct' as you want, writing '검사하다' is wrong.
