Sometimes or Sometime ? If the correct form is "Anyway" and no "anyways" because adverbs cannot be plural why do we use sometimes with the "S" ? Which is the difference? Or it is just sometime (adv)?

Hi! Sometimes is an adverb of frequency. So for example: "Sometimes I walk my dog out after dinner." But sometime- refers to a time in the past or future which in unknown/not stated, like here : "They hoped to meet up sometime." I hope this helps!

"Anyways . . . " gives the speaker a short, informal pause ~ people often drag the word out, "aaannnyyywwwaaaayyyysss" ~ Sort of hitting the reset button on the conversation. Sometimes refers to an assortment of unspecific times, past, present and future ~ sometimes I walk down this street, sometimes I eat that cereal, sometimes I take that train. Sometime refers to a single unspecified time, however, always in the future ~ sometime let's get together, sometime we'll go there, sometime I'll take you to Paris.

So, you can use one or the other depending on the situation. Example: “I go to the bar sometimes”. Usually when you use “sometimes”, it It used in a context of describing a regular or recurring habit. That you continue to do in the past and in the present. With “sometime” really the only way I use it is when I talk about meeting up with someone in the near future, example “hey, we should grab a drink sometime” it’s used when hinting towards doing something specifically one time in the future. Hope this helps!
