The big ones:
ある aru (to exist, inanimate objects; to have)
いる iru (to exist, animate objects)
する suru (to do, irregular)
Some others:
上げる ageru (to give, and lots of other things, like "to go up")
歩く aruku (to walk)
遊ぶ asobu (to play)
会う au (to meet)
違う chigau (to be different, wrong)
抱く daku (to embrace, hug)
出す dasu (to extract, take out)
出来る dekiru (to be able to, can)
撰ぶ erabu (to choose, select)
触れる fureru (to touch)
頑張る ganbaru (to try one's best)
入る hairu (to enter)
始まる hajimaru (to begin)
話す hanasu (to speak, talk)
払う harau (to pay)
走る hashiru (to run)
