how can I use"nein" and "doch"?what's diffierent of these? Nein and doch are nagative answer. when I have to use them?

Hello Emma, You use 'nein' to negate an affirmative interrogation or statement in general. "Kennst du ihn?" "Nein, ich kenne ihn nicht." You use 'doch' to affirm a negative interrogation or affirmation. " Du kennst ihn bestimmt nicht." "Doch ich kenne ich."

Danke Mike ,das habe ich aus Versehen geschrieben ;) Aber es ist nicht 'IHM' (Dativ), sondern 'IHN' (Akkusativ) . "Doch, ich kenne ihn."
