"The gull sees faithest who flies highest" what this expression means?
I am not sure about the meaning, but I think it is something like:
"The gulls do not pay attention or ignores who flies very high"
In other words, a gull wants all gulls to be identical.
"The gull sees farthest who flies highest"Thank you Claire. I do know the metaphoric meaning because of its context. What I do not know is why. I would like to understand it in a more literal way for that.
Perhaps, the word “farthest” is related in this example, as something unique, rare, hard to achieve or great.
Thank you Peachey.
