well , i think chinese proverb is spread mouth-to-mouth by common people , using simple words to reflect the profound truth.And also people use it to express the life experience . But i think sometimes it is difficult for us to undersatnd . for example : the pot calling the kettle black ,that means“ 以五十步笑百步”。

i want to learn Chinese proverb....can any one teach me..............

every proverb has a story .the story is the source of the proverb .in fact ,you can simply regard it as a word .but the difference is the word has story.for example,san ren cheng hu/yi xiao da fang/qian li zhi ti,kui yu yi xue.for english example ,when the army almost wins,but at the end ,it fails.then you can sighs :qian li zhi ti ,kui yu yi xue.
