Pimsleur Chinese Has anyone used it? Got to the end of it? Used it in real life? How do you find it?It's an audio-only course, very famous, with a method based on continuous repetition. But not only it's expensive, it is sold by physical mail only. you cannot pay and download it. Some poeple find it useful, some don't. It also depends on the language you're studying, I suppose. I have it for Thai, found it extremely boring. But maybe it helps with Chinese pronounciation and fluency. There's no book at all, so that's also a problem.

I have used Pimsleur the first level before even studying pinyin or know what pinyin is, it was really good, but you can't depend on it only, you can find some other resources for teaching writing, and try to widen your vocabulary beyond what is taught in this course. What is good about it is that it gives you the ability to speak faster. But it's vocabulary is so limited. So my advice for you is to use Pimsleur beside another resources because if you depend on it only your progress will be quiet slow. Check this website :http://www.lingq.com/?referral=hesham119 it's got a lot of content for beginners and a rich resource for increasing your vocabulary Hesham
