a.s.a.p. = as soon as possible t.b.a = to be announce (at a later time) c/o = care of (additional information in an mailing address) cc = carbon copy (an old reference to when carbon paper was used in a typewriter to make a copy) enc = enclosure (denoting a document has been added to a letter, snail-mail and e-mail) i.e. and e.g. = latin terms meaning, "for example". I don't know the difference between the two.

Judging by the context of the other acronyms, I think aae stands for "average annual earnings".

I'm afraid I don't know what 'aae' stands for. I agree with Barbara and Bill about most of the others except for: ie = from the Latin 'id est' meaning 'that is'. It is used to define something. eg = from the Latin 'exempli gratia' used to mean 'for example'. nb = from the Latin 'nota bene' meaning 'pay special attention to' or 'take special note of'. It is used to mark something out as especially important.
