I'm turning 60 next year and getting old. So, I think it's time to
watch my health, not just for myself, but for my family as well, as I don't want
them to worry about me in the future. I came across an article "Just Walking
Keeps Us healthier." I would like to summarize and share some of the interesting
points here. As convenient lifestyle habits such as working from home and
subscription type entertainment gains popularity, many people might feel
that they are out of shape. Under the circumstances, walking is making a
comeback lately because anybody can start it easily. "British Journal of Sports
Medicine" said that 160-minute-a-day walking at the pace of 4.8km per hours can
help increase lifespan by more than 5 years on average. Many people find it
hard to walk for 160 minutes every day, that's why a heart specialist suggests
"What do you say to starting a habit of walking for an hour a day"? According to
his comment, walking not only can lower blood pressure,
maintain a healthy weight and improve physical health, it can also have a good effect on mental health. Walking has
benefits for everybody since it doesn't need a lot of money and it is easy for
everybody to do. I believe the overall health benefits of a habit of walking is beyond measure and
I also figure out that it has been attracting a lot of attention. So, I, too,
would love to try it tomorrow.
