"The first letter of/for/in each month, such as June, July, etc., is big." My was is taking online English classes right now. Yesterday, when he was taking a class, this question came to me. I feel all three prepositions make sense. Which one sounds more natural? How would you say this? Should I make it more complex? For example, the first letter OF/FOR/IN the words for each month is big. Thank you in advance. :)

The correct way to say it: The first letter of the words for each month is capitalized. No worries! :)

The first letter OF each month is capitalized. We use "OF" when one thing relates or belongs to another.

The first letter of July is a capital. Correct. The first letter in July is a capital. Correct, but OF is better. The first letter for July is a capital. No. I don’t like this.

"The first letter of each month is capital" OF each month "capital" is a better choice instead of "big" when you talk about letters

The first letter in the name of a month (or any other proper noun) should be capitalized.
