"Peace" and "piece" are pronounced the same way, but the other two each have their own distinct pronunciation.

I agree with the other comments. Likewise my students often think it's hilarious that the word for a piece of paper or the thing you put on the bed is a "sheet"... and that's always a good opportunity to correct the way they pronounce the letter 'i" ;-) There is classic book on this subject called "Ship or Sheep". I recommend that you try to find an audio download (Google it) as it will help you identify how to pronounce things in English

Peace is pronounced like pEEce (emphasis on ee). In pi*s i is not stressed much. It's more about ss. Peas is peeS. S, not C. S, here is pronounced like Z. Piece is almost pronounced as peace. I hope that's helpful.

I think the others covered it pretty well. Another possible way of thinking about it: Piece and Peace rhyme with niece, geese, fleece Pi*ss rhymes with miss, kiss, hiss. Peas rhymes with ease, sees, knees. Of course, this only helps if you know how the other words are pronounce. If you initially though they all rhymed, you might want to check on the difference between the LONG E sound and the SHORT I sound. This seems to be one of the most common problems for English learners.
