Actually, I don't really like to think about this question, and find the good reasons for sending parents to nursing homes. In my opinion, all of us should take care of our parents as much as possible, and if there is any problem/difficulty in this case, we should consider other possible solutions such as visiting them more often, hiring a nurse at home, more emotional and financial support, etc. In other words, this question can be replaced by why some people don't send their parents to nursing homes even though they encounter some difficulties, and how they are capable to handle these issues.
