عندما تولى عمر بن عبد العزيز الحكم عزل كل القضاة الذين كانوا في عهد الحجاج. فقال له أحدهم انا عملت مع الحجاج شهرا واحدا فلم تعزلني؟ فقال له يكفيني ان الحجاج رضي عنك وعينك.
