Hi! My name is Matilda and I was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. I have been living in Australia for 6 years. I studied Psychology courses at Lund University and I like to discuss psychological subjects and and other areas regarding emotions and the mind. I found my interest for teaching while I was a substitute teacher in Lund. I get energy from travelling, connecting with humans, I am into community events.
I feel honoured to help people learning my native tongue. I want to be there with you while you grow and learn Swedish in a fun and interactive way.

I place high value on creating a safe space for students to explore making mistakes and play with the Swedish language. Learning a language is deeply personal and I hope to create that space for you.
It's important for me to get to know you and build a connection while we go deeper into the Swedish language. I think that the harder parts of learning a language becomes a lot easier if you have a supporting tutor that will push you through if you have doubts. I love documentaries and hope to share some interesting topics for us to explore together.

I aim to make my lessons filled with humour, interaction and curiosity. As lesson material I create interactive tasks, quizzes and word games and send through study material that we can practice with. I also send documentaries and podcasts for my students, ask for recommendations and I would be happy to share. If you want homework, I will also give suitable tasks for you to do outside of lessons.
I am open, flexible and welcome to any inputs. Let me know what difficulties that you face in the language and let me know what I can do to assist you. I am here as a guide and inspiration into your Swedish language journey.
