If you want to begin learning or improve your English or German, you've come to the right place! I am a native speaker of English and speak fluent German (DSH-3 / C2 certificate). I'm passionate about language learning and teaching. I live in Germany and am a high school teacher here. Because I learned German to a high level, I know what's difficult for foreigners and can teach it in an approachable way.
As for my hobbies, I'm really into history, cooking and conscious living. I like to hike and have been to 18 different countries and have lived in 5.

What distinguishes me from other teachers is my passion as well as my strategy. I like to prepare conversation topics, songs, news articles, philosophical questions that have the relevant vocabulary and grammar structures to improve your language skills. Several of my students have started as beginners with me and went on to suceed in moving to Germany.
Applied Linguistics has shown that anyone can learn a language: it is not an innate talent, but all about motivation and strategy use. Just like math or riding a skateboard, it is a skill that you can develop. My lessons are completely flexible. I'm here to help you reach your goal. If you'd like to improve your conversational skills, we can discuss your interests or current events. If you'd like to prepare for an exam, we can use exercises from model exams. Or even a mixture of both! I even have memes in German and English for you.
If you want a structured class, I can give you a textbook (for free!). We can also watch snippets of news, talk shows and YouTube to discuss what is going on so you not only learn about the language but also the culture. I have no problem giving/correcting homework/quizzes if that is what you wish!내 수업 자료

Our lessons are always very interesting and enjoyable, we learn a lot of new words and phrases, we speak on different topics. Ryan always corrects my mistakes and explain it. I like these lessons.

One of the best language teachers I've ever worked with. Ryan was patient and very encouraging, and was very good at leaving me space in which I could work out what I was trying to say before he corrected me or gave me the answer. I found it was a more effective way of helping me to recall words.

My session with Ryan was all I had hoped it to be; it was delightful.
I had difficulty connecting at the first and he extended our session ending time in order to compensate for lost time at the beginning.
His comments to me were precise, careful and gentle. He discovered areas I needed to improve and created (spontaneously!) brief exercises to learn and practice.
He posed questions at the end of the session which forced me recall material we had used at the beginning.
