I am a qualified microbiologist and ran my own laboratory for more than ten years. When I left my profession, I decided to pursue my other love and take up teaching. I love reading and learning new things, walking and keeping fit doing Pilates. I am firm believer in a healthy body and an active mind.지도 경험
I am a TEFL level 5 teacher, certified to teach English as a second language. I also am certified to tutor students preparing to write the IELTS exam. I am passionate about the English language and qualified as a teacher in order to be able to share that love with my students. I am relaxed and friendly, never critical when my students make mistakes. My aim is to help them in every possible way to achieve their goals. I specialize in teaching adults both in Business English, Conversational English as well as IELTS preparation. Please note that I do not teach children as the teaching materials I use are not suitable for children.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I tailor my lesson to suit the individual students needs and interest. My teaching style is to present, practice and produce. We discuss the lesson topic, the students practice while I check and correct their understanding if necessary and then the students are allowed to practice what they have learned. I am relaxed and friendly, for my students to learn effectively, it is important for them to feel comfortable and to enjoy what they are learning.내 수업 자료

老師很有耐心也很親切，我平常用中文就不太會講話了，更何況用英文，但即便我與老師對話都講得斷斷續續，甚至詞不達意，老師都能猜到我想表達的內容並給與鼓勵，讓我覺得老師非常專業，上起課來也感到非常輕鬆且快樂，每次都很期待下一次的上課時間，推薦給想練習英文或是準備考試的各位。

I am very grateful I booked this 20-hour course with Karen, she used different digital resources that enriched and facilitated the understanding of the treated arguments, she also provided support materials, assigned and corrected the homework for each lesson. In each class, we worked on the different skills for the IELTS exam, especially those I struggled with the most, adapting a program to my needs.
Thank you Karen for being a kind, methodical, and very professional teacher. I recommend her!
