I’m originally from Richmond, Virginia (USA), and I currently live in Brazil. I’m bilingual, with American English and Brazilian Portuguese as my native languages. I previously worked as a Web Developer and now work professionally as a Data Analyst. 👨💻
I’m also a geoscientist and hold a PhD in Geosciences. However, teaching languages has always been a passion of mine. I’ve been teaching English and Portuguese for nearly 10 years, both online and in-person, helping students communicate naturally and confidently. 👨🏫
I hold a TESOL certification and have experience teaching both children and adults, from beginners to advanced and proficiency-level students. My lessons range from casual conversation to professional Business English/Portuguese, as well as exam preparation.
As a language enthusiast and lifelong learner myself, I truly understand how challenging the learning process can be. That’s why I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with the language. I’m patient, motivating, and I challenge my students to be creative and, most importantly, not to be afraid of making mistakes.
