As a highly qualified language educator with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Applied Modern Languages and a Trinity College CertTESOL, I specialize in working with motivated and driven students who are eager to accelerate their language learning journey. I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every lesson, providing students with the tools and techniques they need to rapidly improve their fluency, confidence, and overall performance.
But aside from experience and qualifications, I believe that I have cultivated cultural sensitivity and awareness.

In my classroom, students experience a relaxed and supportive environment that empowers them to take risks and make mistakes without fear. I encourage and guide my students to speak up as much as possible, providing timely feedback and introducing new vocabulary words in the chat to boost their skills.
Why focus on speaking skills? Speaking is the ultimate workout for language learners, activating all aspects of grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary at once to help you become a more effective communicator.

The Conversation Practice session is a speaking session based on spontaneous topics and informal conversations. I will help you reformulate your sentences to make them sound more natural and ask you many questions relevant to the topic, increasing the chance of recycling vocabulary.
In my Grammar & Vocabulary class I use various material from course books (English File Series, National Geographic Outcomes Series, grammar books (English Grammar in Use - Raymond Murphy) and I have also created my own Google Slides to explain grammar points and verb tenses.
As a teacher I am patient, kind and caring.
I always prefer to use AUTHENTIC material: Blogs, images, song lyrics, videos, poetry, etc내 수업 자료

I'm taking English classes with Matthew to improve my speaking skills, and he is truly a professional at what he does. Our lessons have been very productive - he always prepares a topic for discussion but effortlessly picks up on any that arise spontaneously during conversation. He always has answers to all my questions, and no mistake goes unnoticed when I speak. But thanks to his British manners, even his corrections always feel like a polite invitation to improve. :)
I always leave class with new skills and a sense of respect, which is especially important for someone who isn’t yet fully confident in the language. So, if you're looking for an English teacher, I highly recommend him!
