Hi, I am Molly, a native Chinese speaker, can speak English and Cantonese, hold a master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a 2nd Language.
I prefer my students to learn with a textbook, as it provides a more structured and scientific approach to language learning. However, we won’t just stick to the textbook content. I will also introduce commonly used words and phrases from real-life conversations, so you can apply your Chinese immediately after class.
I will introduce Chinese characters gradually from the beginning. So you won’t be limited to materials with pinyin, but will also be able to explore authentic and practical resources written only in Chinese characters, like "rednote" etc.지도 경험
2017-2021: Mandarin teacher on italki. Taught 3,000+ classes. Rated as a 5-star teacher. My students praised me for explaining grammar clearly and making it easier to understand.
2022-2024: Chinese lecturer at an overseas university. Taught elementary Chinese to 1,800+ students. Received excellent feedback from my students.

Comprehensive Lesson
We will use the HSK textbook, a well-structured resource designed for long-term Chinese learners. This is the official learning material for the HSK exam, the most authoritative test for evaluating Chinese proficiency and fluency worldwide.
As I mentioned before, I will also introduce commonly used words and phrases in modern Chinese, so you can start using the language right after our class.내 수업 자료

Molly, is an amazing teacher. She is always well prepared. She manages to constantly increase the difficulty of the classes which keeps every class challenging. Also I like the fact that during every new class she throws in previously practised items/vocabulary to see if you are able to implement them. Keep up the good work! Today we talked about a difficult stuff. I like how she encourages me to express my thoughts freely even if I don't know the "exact" word to do so. She is very supportive and cheerful, love it!
I'm looking forward to gradually dive into more complex topics with her.

First lesson with Molly after a long break. She is (still) super friendly and easy to talk to. Conversations always flow naturally. What I really appreciate is how well she adapts to my language level — it never feels too hard or too easy. Just really fun and relaxed lessons with a genuinely lovely person!
