Γεια σας! I’m Katerina, a certified Greek teacher with a heart for newcomers and a love for making Greek come alive. Based in lively Thessaloniki, I blend my passion for travel, photography, and 14 years of dance into every lesson. I love tailoring my classes around each student and their unique needs, goals, and learning style. My specialty? Guiding refugees, migrants, and curious explorers to live Greek - beyond textbooks and into real conversations.
My lessons are fun and combine many tools. I always emphasize in verbal communication, but I also use textbooks, screen sharing, board games, and even online educational games. Once we reach a level, we can also add local newspapers, playlists of songs and websites for a better practice of the language and the culture. Together we will learn how to book tickets, hotel rooms, vacation, how to order food, or even how to cook a greek recipe. From sharing hidden corners of Greece through photos to laughing over local recipes, I’ll help you connect with the language and culture in unforgettable ways. I have been doing Greek lessons with Katerina for a few months and have really noticed an improvement. With the short time we have per week, there is alwayd enough time for an enjoyable casual catch-up chat (in Greek), and well structured grammar lessons. On top of all that she still finds a way to squeeze in new words to boost my vocabulary. This is all testament to her experience and preparations.
