Hi, my name is Valentina, I am 24 years old, I was born in Colombia and I am a native Spanish speaker. I consider myself a very calm, sensitive and patient person who loves animals and helping others. For the last three years I have had the opportunity to travel to different countries which has awakened a great passion about languages and cultures. I enjoy meeting new people because I think everybody has something meaningful and positive to share, which contributes to our personal processes Currently I study foreign languages teaching (English and French) in Medellín; I am in my third year and so far I have had the chance to learn about different pedagogical and didactic approaches in order to achieve a meaningful learning. During these years I have had the chance to give private English, French and Spanish lessons which has been a very enriching experience in my practical process. I understand everybody has a different learning process, for this reason I always try my best to identify what are my students’ needs and preferences so they can feel comfortable and achieve their personal goal. My approach is mainly communicative; during our classes we will have discussions about real events where you can put your communicative skills in practice while we review different grammatical topics. My aim is to create a pleasant and fun environment where my students feel motivated to continue learning.

I have been learning Spanish with Valentina for over a year—she is an awesome teacher. Valentina's lessons are always tailored to my personal learning goals, and she has been very flexible with her time. Valentina is my favorite italki teacher. I couldn’t recommend her enough. She is always prepared with fun activities and questions. I’m always excited for her clases. She is very kind and doesn’t make you feel bad for making a mistake, but I still learn a lot from her every single lesson. She customizes her lessons for your needs and is very flexible and prepared to practice whatever you want to learn. She is a very professional teacher and at the same time makes you feel like a friend.

She is always present, patient, and on point. (Even when sick) She cares about her student's growth. She is also very nice and down to earth. Not only is she a great person, she is an efficient teacher. The first day she figured out where I was level wise and then she showed me areas I could improve. She taught me how effective it is to put vocabulary words on my mirror and has worked with me to increase my vocabulary at a faster rate than I thought possible. On top of how great she is overall, it is affordable. If you want to noticeable results in an uplifting environment, then Valentina is right for you. I really appreciate everything she does.

Valentina is an amazing teacher. We always have nice talks about our lifes and she corrects you whenever is needed. She can also break down complex grammer in easy to understand steps. My spanish is getting better really rapidly
