This is a student-focused lesson.
I guide the conversation with careful listening and thoughtful questions, based on what you want to talk or learn about. Otaku topics (games, anime, manga) are always welcome.

I usually use recasts instead of interrupting.
I repeat your sentence in a natural, correct form so the conversation keeps flowing.

Aiko-san is a fun and friendly Japanese tutor and I've enjoyed our lessons a lot so far! She encourages me to speak in Japanese with casual conversation which challenges me to use grammar and vocab in a natural way. She also provides materials for more structured study, covering new grammar points and concepts. This provides opportunities for me to use what I have learned by asking questions about the material in Japanese.
Aiko-san likes to ask about my interests and uses these to make our conversations more entertaining and personal to me which I appreciate :) we share some similar interests which makes conversation flow naturally and provides insight into Japanese culture. Aiko-san has also provided additional materials and recommendations for language learning and discovering Japanese media.
I would highly recommend Aiko-san as a tutor for learning Japanese. I find her patient and friendly approach to teaching reassuring and I always look forward to our next lesson!
