Hi there! 안녕하세요. I'm a native speaker of German originally from Cologne, Germany. I have always been into language(s), which is why I chose linguistics as my major, why I started getting interested in theories about how best to learn a foreign language (and thus how best to teach a foreign language), and why, in 2016, I decided to be become a language teacher and content creator.
I've been living and working in South Korea since 2018, which, since then, has become a second home to me.
I'm a calm and creative sort of person in more or less all areas of my life, not just in teaching. I enjoy writing, drawing, designing, and thinking.지도 경험
I believe I can call myself an experienced teacher, as teaching German as a foreign language has been my full time occupation since 2016, and I have gathered experience in many different areas of the job (offline & online｜all levels A1-C1｜groups & 1:1｜textbook, conversation & test prep Goethe/telc/TestDaF｜language learning content development).
I speak with a clear pronunciation, without accent, and in a way that is appropriate for your level.
My strongest suits as a teacher probably are the fact that I can make you feel relaxed and comfortable in class, and my linguistic interest and ability to explain complex things in a very easy way.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
Creating a nice atmosphere in class
This is most important to me because I think it greatly helps the learning process and keeps you motivated.
Finding the right amount of challenge
I don't want you to feel overwhelmed or stressed, because that is just counterproductive. I like to keep things fun while still helping you improve.
Adjusting to you
I believe there isn't one perfect way to teach. Every learner has different needs. And I think I'm quite good at noticing those needs and adjusting to them naturally.
Keeping it real
Language should always be learned within context, and connected to real life, real situations, your experiences, senses and emotions.내 수업 자료

I think the video expresses very well what Elisabeth offers. Elisabeth has a sharp understanding of the students level, listens carefully and offers useful advice at opportune moments. I was given some excellent feedback and advice on what I need to do to improve my level and will take a lot from this lesson. Today was the first time I met Elisabeth and I'm sure it won't be the last!

I've been taking Elizabeth's conversation classes, and I am absolutely happy with her classes. Before, I think I often got too frustrated while practicing speaking since I couldn't really express what I want to say, and the conversation didn't feel so natural and fun. But Elizabeth is super patient and encouraging, and she is extremely good at catching what I am trying to say with my limited German. Her corrections and suggestions are always on point, and she indeed makes the class fun and comfortable. Definitely recommend her class to people who have similar experiences to mine :)
