I have been studying with Yuka-sensei for 8 months now and can honestly say she is the best Japanese teacher I've had - I just passed the JLPT N4 thanks to her! Yuka-sensei makes learning a language fun and exciting, blending conversation practice on a variety of topics with level-appropriate grammar and vocabulary to help her students progress fast and build confidence. She is attentive to her students' needs, incredibly kind and patient, and uses great teaching resources. 已经和侑香老师上了快有15节课了。这期间我们不只是单纯的进行自由绘画，老师帮我修改了邮件，演讲稿，一起读了复杂的文章，也将话题拓展到节日，文化，社会，职场，语言，也彼此分享了生活上的趣事。积累的文档已经长达十几页，虽然很惭愧没有时间把单词表现都完全记下来，但每当需要用到相似场合的表现时，就会想到文档里检索。今天也难得地敞开心扉聊了聊沉重但意义深远的“人生”，虽然自羞于无能将所思所想准确地表达出来，但我很感谢侑香老师的倾听和想法。我会继续努力提高自己的表达能力，以在将来提供更加有价值的意见。It's been around 15 lessons with Yuka-sensei. These days we no more only had free talks but she also helped me revise my emails and scripts and read complex articles. We also expanded topics to festivals, cultures, society, jobs, and language as well as shared fun stories with each other. The accumulated google doc's reached 10+pages, but I am regretful without memorizing all the vocabs and phrases, while I will always take a look at it whenever I encounter similar topics which is helpful. Today, we also had a rare open conversation on "life". Although I am ashamed for my inability to express accurately, I am very grateful to Yuka-sensei who listened and responded carefully. I will keep improving my Japanese to provide more valuable opinions.

I have been taking lesson for 7 months. I went from being barely being able to talk about the weather to now being able to talk about taxes and immigration––albeit with help from ゆかさん and a lot of simplification in grammars and vocabularies. I also went from being completely unconfident at using Japanese to being able to travel around Japan for a month quite comfortably and engaging with natives as needed in Japanese and without any other languages that I know. ゆかさん's method is knowing the right question to ask and probing you to talk as much as possible. I think this is very effective for me since I tend to be shy, quiet, and dislike talking about myself. Moreover, the latter half of the lesson is going over grammar, vocabulary, as well as homework. Can't recommend her enough. I still have a long way to go, but I wouldn't be where I am without her help ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
