Greetings to all. 🙌 If you are looking for an experienced and certified Tibetan teacher then you are on the right profile! I am a native Tibetan speaker and currently, I am living in Dharamsala, India. I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree (Shastri Degree) in Tibetan Grammar and Literature, along with English and Buddhist Philosophy from the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, Varanasi, and my Master’s degree from Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Gangtok, Sikkim. I also work as a translator and interpreter from English to Tibetan, and vice versa. My goal with teaching and life in general is to provide people with more value than they expect. 🙂지도 경험
For over seven years, I've been instructing Tibetan language online to individuals who aren't native speakers. Throughout this experience, I've covered a spectrum of subjects, ranging from Classical and standard Tibetan to colloquial speech, grammar, reading, and calligraphy, catering to students at all skill levels. With a roster exceeding 125 students, I've witnessed their progression from novice to adept, a testament to the collaborative efforts invested by both student and instructor. My commitment lies in demystifying Tibetan pronunciation, everyday usage, and overall fluency, tailored to each student's learning objectives.

Learning with me is fun and relaxed; 😃there is no need to be nervous about making mistakes. Your level, motivations, and learning style are more important to me, so I always keep that in mind. I am a relaxed teacher that is dedicated to your success in learning Tibetan. I will set you homework that will help you to solidify what you have learned. Norbu-la is versatile and generous with his knowledge while eliciting from the student in an appropriate style. I have had many online teachers but this is the first time I'm able to relax and really learn in the classes. In short, I strongly recommend this teacher.

Norbu is insightful mindful kind and extremely encouraging of his students he takes times to answer questions explain things In full and is always able to teach in such a way tat I walk away knowing so much more than I thought possible in such a short tie he not only an amazing teacher bt an amazing advocate for Tibetan culture and language as a whole and it is such a privilege to be his student I couldn't recommend him more highly and I truely think anyone wishing to achieve reading and speaking in Tibetan must consider Norbu as he is such a become of inspiration and learning every class is a joy!

Something that I like a lot about our lessons, is the opportunity for me to ask many questions and get a lot of hands on practice and additional training around topics that we addressed. It is always a good mix of both repetition and new challenges. Thank you, Norbu!
