Josie is amazing! I really wanted to improve my conversational skills, and I chose her because she seemed dynamic and fun in her video. I’m now more than 20 lessons in and I can definitely confirm that she is not only engaging and easy to talk to, but also incredibly diligent, energetic, smart, thoughtful and hilarious. I expected that we would simply chat in French for an hour each week, and we definitely do that, which has improved my speaking ability immensely. But Josie also goes out of her way to make her lessons as comprehensive and personalized as possible. I moved to France a year and a half ago, and she has been very thoughtful about structuring lessons that will help me to navigate daily life in France and give me exposure to important cultural references. She also tries to make my French less formal and textbook, and more colloquial and natural, which I appreciate immensely. In short, she’s pretty much the idea French teacher!

Les cours avec Josseline sont excellents. C’est une enseignante extrêmement engagée, qui est attentive aux besoins de ses apprenants et qui vous enrichit par ses connaissances profondes, lesquelles vont bien au-delà de la langue et s’étendent largement à la littérature française. Je considère comme une véritable chance d’avoir Josseline comme professeure. Je la remercie de tout cœur pour tout ce qu’elle fait et me réjouis déjà de nombreuses autres heures de cours.

C’était notre première leçon consacrée à la production écrite du DELF B2. Josie m’a présenté cette partie de l’examen de manière structurée et m’a expliqué les points clés pour réussir. Pendant la leçon, j’ai posé plusieurs questions, et elle a toujours pris le temps d’y répondre avec patience. Après ce cours, je comprends mieux ce qui est attendu à l’épreuve de production écrite et je vais pouvoir m’entraîner de façon plus systématique. Merci Josie !

I believe Josseline is one of the best teachers on Italki. I have had 6 sessions in French for travel and feel absolutely confident and prepared for my trip to France. Each lesson was tailored to my needs, included the requested vocabulary, real life role plays and cultural insights. This has been the most inspiring, joyful, entertaining and still effective language learning experience! I look forward to our next sessions after my holiday trip to France :)

Ce cours de préparation à l’oral du DELF B2 m’a beaucoup apporté. Josie m’a expliqué mes points forts et mes points faibles. Avec beaucoup de patience et de clarté, elle m’a présenté la structure attendue à l’oral, les critères d’évaluation et les points auxquels il faut faire attention. Avant ce cours, tout cela était encore un peu flou pour moi. Maintenant, j’y vois beaucoup plus clair et je sais mieux comment orienter mes prochains entraînements. Merci beaucoup, Josie !
