Halo! I’m Riska—a language lover from Indonesia with roots in Garut’s lush hills and a heart for sharing my culture. Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and Sundanese, I help learners unlock these vibrant languages while weaving in local traditions and daily life. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me hiking Bandung’s trails (humming Sundanese folk songs!) or chatting with global friends online. From bustling classrooms to intimate one-on-one sessions, my teaching career has taken me on a diverse and rewarding journey since 2011. I cut my teeth teaching English to both elementary and high school students in a language center, before transitioning to private tutoring from home. Currently, I'm inspiring young minds as a middle school English teacher. I've even had the privilege of introducing international children to the beauty of Bahasa Indonesia. This varied experience has honed my ability to adapt to different learning styles and create engaging lessons for all ages. It was really enjoyable reading a popular Indonesian book with Riska today. It was like being at a book club with a true friend. I am very grateful that with Riska's help I have been able to reach a level of Indonesian where I can both read at novel level and discuss.

Great lesson with Riska! We went through lesson 2 in the textbook and started on lesson 3. There was a mix of new vocabulary and words that we already learned. Riska did a nice job of presenting the lesson and explaining the concepts!

Riska is an excellent Sundanese teacher. I highly recommend her for instruction in Indonesian or Sundanese. She is patient, kind, and flexible, and encouraging; even though I’m a total beginner in Sundanese, I feel motivated and confident thanks to her. Great lesson with Riska! Since we finished the previous textbook last time, Riska found another textbook for us to use. We went through lesson 1 in class, which had some good review items . Riska did a good job explaining the material and gave me some good tips on pronunciation!
