Swahili nourisher for a lifetime. My name is Sophy, I was born and raised in Kenya. I speak native Swahili and I am also a fluent English speaker. I am highly passionate about teaching Kiswahili and have an enthusiastic outlook on life. My passion came forth after realizing that good communication builds lasting relationships. Helping you learn Swahili as a new language is my everyday joy!
I try to do the best that I can in the current situation. I try to make my lessons as real and relevant as possible and try to explain why we are doing things and what this leads to. As a weight loss coach, I used to teach mostly in the Swahili language and made my lessons fun and engaging. As I continue to evolve as a teacher, I am always learning better ways to present materials to my audience.
I do not really prefer one teaching method in the classroom environment because in my opinion, each class is different on its own. I prefer a highly adaptable style so as to adjust my teaching to that of my audience. I choose my teaching methods adjusting them to the plan and the ultimate goal we have with the audience/student.
