Namaste, I am Sanchita from Lucknow, India’s vibrant cultural heart! A published author, ex-journalist, language teacher, and media & PR professional, I bring 18 years of experience in Hindi and English communication.
My passion for storytelling shapes my teaching, offering students a gateway to India’s rich and complex history, and its place in today’s world. I utilize real-world situations, role-plays, discussions, and various media tools to build fluency. I am also learning several languages, which keeps my approach fresh and relatable.
As a Duolingo Global Ambassador, I led 5★-rated learning sessions. You can expect interactive, student-paced, and fun classes conducted in an open, positive environment. I like partnering my students as a friend and encourage them to ask questions – not only about grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation, but also about India – its ancient heritage, modern history, cultural and geographical diversity, mythology, and more.
Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome as these help me customize my lessons and support each student better in their learning journey.
P.S. – My articles and literary works have appeared in Hindustan Times (one of the most-read English newspapers in India), Spark (a non-commercial independent online literary magazine), and TES Orbit (a triannual bilingual magazine published by the Takshila Educational Society). Every lesson with Sanchita ji is full of new lessons and interesting insights! She offers very specific grammar lessons and her homework is incredibly helpful in practicing those grammar constructions. But Sanchita ji is also very flexible with lesson plans and happy to review other materials / questions that come up, going with the flow to develop new lessons around student needs and interests. I will recommend her as a Hindi teacher over and over again!

I really enjoyed Sanchita’s class today! We studied the stories of Akbar and Birbal along with the Rajkumar, and it was both fun and engaging. I especially liked learning new words in Farsi and their equivalent in Hindi—it made the class even more interesting and educational. Looking forward to more classes like this!

I really enjoyed my Hindi class. Coming back from my trip to Japan, I found it a bit challenging at first because I still had a lot of Japanese in my head, which made it harder to switch back into Hindi. However, Sanchita was incredibly patient and supportive throughout, and she helped me regain my confidence with the language.
Her teaching style made it easier to transition back, and I appreciated how encouraging she was during that process. Over time, I found myself enjoying using Hindi again and becoming more comfortable with it. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’m grateful for the support I received in class.

Sanchita ji is such a fantastic Hindi teacher! She has taught me so much about complex Hindi grammar rules, and always gives relevant readings and activities to practice those rules afterwards. When I am struggling with difficult materials, Sanchita ji pauses the lesson to figure out what is challenging, and then will adjust her methods to support my learning. This is a sign of an adaptable and hard-working teacher who is open to finding new approaches to ensure that students truly learn the material!
