नमस्ते ! Namaste ! Bonjour ! Hello ! My name is Rijendra Shrestha, I live in Kathmandu and I speak French, English, Newari and Hindi. I am a Nepali and French language teacher, translator and author of French grammar books. I have a deep interest in other cultures and how people learn new languages. During my four years in France, I met people from different countries who were interested in Nepal. Thanks to them, I learned many things, of which I was not aware about my own country and culture. I am sure that you already know few words in Nepali, "namaste", "yoga", "Himalaya", "stupa", "yak"... Helping my students to learn Nepali is my main motivation. I have been teaching Nepali for 7 years and French for 12 years. I am a certified teacher with a master degree in teaching French as a foreign language. I am very patient with my students and believe that everyone learns at different pace. All my teaching methods suit my students' needs. I teach in a friendly atmosphere during our one-to-one lessons. I use diverse tools to make the lessons interactive and entertaining, such as famous Nepali songs lyrics, restaurant menus, pictures from the daily life in Kathmandu, interactive online vocabulary exercises. If you are a beginner, you will be learning how to greet in Nepali, introduce yourself, ask basic questions, talk about your family, useful sentences for shopping... In a few lessons, you will also learn to make simple sentences using basic structures of Nepali and Nepali alphabets. I have had the pleasure of learning Nepali with the amazing teacher Mr Rijendra, and I couldn't be more impressed. He is incredibly patient, professional, and attentive. His teaching style is both engaging and thorough, making grammar easy to understand. What I appreciate most is how he immediately corrects any mistakes, helping me improve quickly. For me, he is by far the best Nepali teacher I could ask for. Highly recommend!

I have been working with Rijendra two times a week for a year now and my language skills have far surpassed what I could have ever hoped for. Rijendra provides structure to lessons while tailoring the lessons to address my areas of need. He is patient and no matter how many times I need revisions on previous things, even from things we did months ago, he is able to incorporate it into what we are currently doing. He creates fun activities so it's not I cannot recommend Rijendra as a teacher enough.

Time flies by so quickly that it has been almost 6 months since I started my classes with Rijendra. Very grateful to have found Rijendra through my friend’s recommendation. Now I can text my friend and hold a conversation with her in nepali! Something I never thought I would be able to. Dherai dherai dhanyabad! 🙏🙏🙏
