I love learning with Taka sensei. Each class we review plus add new vocabulary and grammar. The mix of the two helps me to remember. He provides materials, but still allows me time to write the works in both hiragana and romanji. He gives praise on correct pronunciation and is patient when I struggle with grammar. He understands mistakes are part of the learning process. 10/10 recommend!

Taka Sensei is the best, the lessons are really fun and great!

I really enjoy learning from Taka sensei. I’ve been a student of his for a year and a half now and in that time, I’ve gone to Japan twice, both times as a solo traveler. Because of these lessons, I have been able to carry on basic conversations in Japanese with the locals and with my Japanese friends. I enjoy his classes because he tailors them to my needs and makes them fun by using examples from my favorite anime, hobbies and foods. We focus more on casual conversation because that was my main goal and I am learning how to use grammar more naturally. I also like how sensei has lesson plans for me every week. That definitely helps to motivate me for each lesson. I have improved a lot, and I owe it all to sensei. I hope to be fluent in Japanese someday!

Taka Sensei's classes are fun! He is very patient and good at teaching for different levels and learning styles. He keeps detailed lesson notes and sends encouraging messages after lessons to help keep you motivated!

I appreciate Taka Sensei's patience with me. He helps with grammar and introduces me to new vocabulary each class. We are slowly building the foundations of my Japanese.
